interesting comparison of AWE TO where about 600m
was paid for approx 400bcf on non producing 2p gas reserves with significantly lower flow rates compared to STX gas fields
With approx 600 bcf already net to STX and additional resource to be added from additional zones and the derisking of the basin on a material way a price north of 800 m would be warranted. Compare this to a 290 market cap or a 262 m EV
on a further positive note , my understanding is there is significant interest for JV STX 100% owned acreage as well as contracting of remaining gas. Toll agreement with APA is also close
I find it hard what to wish for, a takeover at 35-40 for a great short term profit or seeing AWE develop its fields that may see 150 cash flow over 2-3 decades
