as far as I can ascertain a bolr is not a contract to purchase nor is it an explicit guarantee. it is a commitment of intent in the event a purchaser for the business materialises. I have not read one of these agreements but at a minimum I expect they are highly interpretive and somewhat ambiguous. I expect any settlement, if there is one, will take many many years
