This is the market and mum and dads who don’t understand this stock l, striking again.
To the mum and dad retail shareholders, they are overjoyed with relaxed restrictions. They don’t understand that Webjet OTA isn’t the prize here, so they are overjoyed about nothing.
To the fundies and more serious investors, I am guessing they can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
First it’s relaxed domestic restrictions. Then relaxed trans Tasman. Then certain countries that are safe (with a huge blacklist and a tiny whitelist obviously). Then ??? Then relaxed international. Then WebBeds.
Obviously the share price doesn’t go from $2 -> $9 right away.
It has to go through $3, then $4, then $5, then $6, then $7, then $8 and $9. As each small piece of good news eventuates, the market adjusts its expectations.
This is my favourite Price Discovery feature of the market.
