For your sake, I hope TRS's Christmas buying this year is popular with customers. The last thing that TRS needs right now is unsold Christmas stocks needing to be liquidated in January.

Next year, TRS will face a bigger brunt of Aldi's assault on the WA & SA markets. More and more of our cousins in those states will discover the joy of hunting for bargains in the aisles of Aldi supermarkets every Wednesday and Saturday!

On top of that, with Target being revived by Wesfarmers and Big W to experience similar treatment by WOW management, one thing's for sure, life is not going to get easier for TRS.

As for negligible directors' shareholdings, don't hold your breath. As long as Bill Stevens stays as Chairman, there is close to zero chance of policy changes. Hopefully when a new Chairman comes in, he/she will be more open to the idea of requesting directors holding a minimum number of shares.
