It looks like now it wont be an issue. This came up as a manager was sacked and has complained that my employer doesnt pay penalty rates, so work is restricting hours to a max of 40 to avoid an issue. I am told i should be fine as overtime rates are to be paid for hours worked over 40 that "are outside regular hours". By that definition i can agree that "regular hours" are 24 hours a day and therefore can work as many hours as i want as i deem them to be inside regular hours. So basically all the "paycheck workers" who only work to get their pay and dont care for the betterment of the company have their hours restricted, i on the other hand can work when and how long i wish. Thanks a heap for all the answers though, shows the great community of this site!
