I know we are all familiar with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) Section 671B (yawn) so I am stating the obvious here...
If their holding has changed by 1% or more of the outstanding shares in the company (1% = about 8.5m shares for CNP) since making the initial notice (today), then they have to make a notification of change of holding to the ASX within 2 business days of them becoming aware.
If they plan to make a formal bid, which is unlikely, there are different rules.
So, if they were buying up yesterday, we will see a note between close tomorrow and (allowing for Easter) open on Tuesday. We will see any changes from today notified to the ASX on Wednesday next week.
