CNP/CPN are not at all related, apart from a near identical stock code.
However, it does look like CPN is a sub-prime casualty, because it looks like their acquisition plans have come unstuck due to inability to secure debt finance for commercially risky projects in jurisdictions with poor sovereign risk.
