Having read hundreds of mostly interesting posts since the big announcement, I have come to the conclusion that we actually know very little at the moment, which has led to sometimes wild speculation.  This may also be why the SP is going absolutely nowhere until more details come out.


For me the most important question is, when it says "subject to conditions", are the conditions simply the payment of the deposit and obtaining shareholder approval, or are there other conditions that are not spelled out in the announcement?  Maybe there are other conditions such as a royalty arrangement?

On the other hand, "total consideration consisting of $AUD 107,500,000..." seems to rule out any further payments.

We just don't know...  But the lack of detail in the announcement suggests to me that the offer as it stands is not of any great significance, except to get the ball rolling.
