I was watching Andrew bolt's show and he pointed out some facts for us to digest...the US navy has apparently just ordered 9 new Subs for their fleet.
Below is the comparison...why do we have such Dolts in our Government making these stupid moronic money wasting decisions to buy a Nuclear Sub and convert it to a diesel...totally unproven and having to be re designed almost from scratch. Even then we don't know how well they will operate as this type of conversion has never been carried out before,
As has been pointed out these new unproven design of Sub will have a cruise speed of 4 knots under water, you can walk faster than that. So by the time these Subs were to reach the South China Sea for example they would have been travelling for up to three weeks. Then they would be expected to hang around for a while before heading back to port to refuel and re stock.
We will be the laughing stock of the world, if we aren't already!
