Actually I think that your conspiracy theories are a bit over the top. The seppos are just a big bunch of drama queens, watching idioots like Kramer in Mad Money, overreacting, hardly ever thinking for themselves. Unfortunately, due to the size of their economy, the rest of us are dragged into their games.
Their passion for drama shows through in their craap TV shows like the Soprano's below, and Criminal Minds, etc. I watched Australia's new police drama last night, Criminal Minds. It was very entertaining, not full of melodrama, nor forensic gore like the craap US shows. The British can do a good police drama as well, Lock Stock springs to mind.
