While the market sentiments are definitely not positive for any stock at the moment, I don't think it is a major cause of the depressed share price for APG. When the market was hitting all time highs not that long ago, we did not see APG jumping anywhere.
What we have seen so far is that the technologies are proven, or very close to it but there is nothing concrete to prove that commercialisation of the technologies will be successful.
There have been many great products out there which failed miserably. Most techo's will agree that UNIX is a better OS than DOS, or betmax was a better technology than VHS. APG has not been too successful in proving that they are capable of commercialising their technology.
I believe what we have been seeing are some punters putting in a few bucks to bet on a 10-20% rise as we are expecting announcements on the successful testing. When things don't happen, they bail. There is nothing serious about that. Even when BHP paid 20c for the shares, the rally was only very brief.
We would not see any serious and sustainable appreciation in the value of the company until we hear the cash register ringing which may still be a little while away yet. Perhaps they need a whiz kid in the deal-making department, kind of like John Winters in the Engineering department.
