It is amazing when people who once owned and supported Min-Res, got scared by AFR's baseless articles, sold the shares and are now rooting for something bad to happen on Monday so they can confirm their decision was right and/or buy shares at a lower price as they themselves know this is a good investment.
A saying comes to mind for such people
Bulls make money
Bears make money
Hogs get slaughtered
Anyhow! Looking forward to the announcement on Monday so we can put all this behind and move on. Good things are happening at MinRes
- Chris is just a few months away from full ramp up of a project that will be his "Legacy". Once thought of as an un-economic asset even at IO at $150 was designed, engineered, constructed and FULLY funded to cash flows by Min-Res under the leadership of CE. Now its time to harvest the crops instead of crying over the B/S.
- More than $2.5billion of value has already been monetized out of a $3.5 billion investment into Onslow [MSIP 1.3B, Trafi Prepayment 650M , JV carried loans 800M)
- Another 800M coming in prior to 31/12 from Hancock with contingent value of 300M plus in 2025
- The positive response to the Onslow product, higher than expected pricing (Atleast over first 10 odd cargoes) means that Onslow could very well be expanded in future to 50MTPA once BS recovers providing growth opportunities. This is happening when Rio and BHP are struggling with grades and pricing.
- Lithium is on verge of recovery. Chris could very well be plotting something here - watch this space!
- Shorts had their fun and now are starting to close positions
This is a very well managed business and I am pleased with the opportunity we got to pick up more shares in last few weeks.
Good luck for Monday! MinRes will likely release the ANN early eastern time as that will give people time to digest before market open to avoid knee jerk volatility. Not sure if there will be a webcast? or just a written communication?
