I first started with Tesla in the EV sector, I’ve been following it closely since 2019. Then I went down the lithium ion battery supply chain and found Talga and Novonix (anode materials, and Novonix also battery testing and cathode and electrolyte, both companies pre production). I learnt about LKE through the NVX battery testing announcement. After Tesla Battery Day, when they announced that by 2030 they will need 6 TWh worth of lithium ion batteries per year, it became clear for me that there will be huge increase in the lithium demand this decade. Just for comparison, 6 TWh lithium ion battery needs about 4-5 million tonne LCE per year, which is about 20 times the annual production of last year. I still haven’t found any other commodity with such great demand increase potential. So I investigated several lithium mining companies, and for me LKE seemed to have the best risk reward ratio, and so I started investing in it at 6c. I added more around 8c and 10c, and I’ve been buying ever since on the pullbacks, e.g. at 24c, 25c, 38c, and the last time at 57c.
I have the same opinion as Warren Buffett, that one doesn’t need to over diversify, and I also don’t have the time to know all the tiny details for more than 4-5 companies at one time. Additionally, there are generally some 10-20 companies on my watch list, but I am usually not invested in more than 4-5 at the same time.
My family has a bit less than 1m shares in LKE. I recommended it to friends and other family members, and those who decided to invest in LKE are pretty happy now LKE has been so far a life changing journey for me, and I would like to make a positive impact on the life many other people, of course my time is limited, but I do my best
