But Amcom shareholders have created history by voting en masse in favour of the deal and against TPG – the first time a scheme of arrangement vote has succeeded in the face of such a large blocking stake.
Sources attending the voting in Perth said more than 90 per cent of the proxy votes outside of TPG's holdings had showed up and had moved in favour of the deal.
