Interested to see when the terms of this is finalised!In late 2021, TYMLEZ entered into a pilot agreement with UON to demonstrate its solution for carbon calculations and reporting in an industrial environment. UON is a leader in dewatering solutions for major mining conglomerates across Western Australia’s Pilbara region, with hundreds of off-grid bore-sites located across the region. Responsible for the extraction and redistribution of over 1 million megalitres of water in the region annually, the dewatering industry plays a major role for a resource company’s overall carbon emissions.
UON has already taken major steps to reduce carbon output through the introduction of technologies such as variable speed generators and remote solar installations and is now looking to showcase the savings mine operators can make through implementing UON dewatering solutions.
The natural resources industry, like all industries across the globe, is undergoing a major decarbonisation journey where suppliers will also be required to provide accurate and verified carbon emissions reports.
As part of the pilot, TYMLEZ showcased its carbon emissions reporting solution for UON, having captured all carbon relevant data and securely logging into the blockchain. Based on the emissions output and offsets, the TYMLEZ Platform was able to automatically generated emissions tokens on the Hedera blockchain to produce real-time and verified reports on the carbon output of UON’s test operation.
TYMLEZ is looking forward to an ongoing relationship with UON and is proud to have delivered a pilot which exceeded client expectations. Currently, TYMLEZ and UON are working on the potential commercialisation of the CO2 emission reporting solution for dewatering operations in the mining industry.
