There is little doubt about the evil of Hamas. What about the Palestinian people who support them? That is a much longer conversation. When Palestinians were in dire need, Christian Lebanon welcomed them, and was wrecked as a result. Jordan didn't want them and pushed them out when they tried to settle in Jordan. Egypt sure doesn't want them, and have sealed their common border into the Sinai. IMO it is not their fault. They have been used just like the Ukrainians are being used right now. It is like some powers want to keep the Palestinians stressed, to weaponize them against Israel.
Understandingly, Israel doesn't want them either.
Contrast the Druze population in the annexed Golan Heights seem to be happy enough. The Golan Heights have been under Israeli control since the 6 day war in 1967. The Druze religion is a little different to Islam and Christianity.
