ALBO said he would support a rise based on the inflation rate and the govt is making a submission to the Fair Work Commission expressing that support. Everyone in Australia knows that the Fair Work Commissions sets the minimum wage, but takes into account submissions from employer organisations and unions as well as the govt.
The word support would not have been used if the govt itself could mandate the rise.
