Agreed... we can only speculate that the market would have risen with a McCain presidency (never in the contest for the final 3 months). Articles out there that alternatively suggest that the fall would have occurred irrespective of who won yesterday. i.e. http://finance.yahoo.com/tech-ticker/article/106913/Election-Hangover-Traders-Selling-News-of-Obama%27s-Victory?tickers=%5Edji,%5Egspc,%5Eixic,UBS,RBS,MT,SPY
Real test is yet to come and how well he and his team deal with the crisis may well define his presidency(i know that it's early days!).
