And as a trader who has been "suckered" into buying a stock by sellers placing false bids so they can offload their holdings at a higher price, well, I guess that makes me a sucker too.
I now watch the market depth very closely before buying. When there are a few buyers with massive orders, that's where the false bids are, and these bids disappear as soon as their sell orders are filled.
I have to wonder, though, about so-called loyal investors dumping their stocks every time an announcement comes out.
It would seem that they are just traders trying to make a buck like the rest of us.
