Paradice will turn out to be smart I think. I think that somebody should have picked up that the goodwill figures were inflated ridiculously at about $1.10 per share with a bit of due diligence, and honest disclosure. I suspect it was a red flag that hundreds of millions of goodwill arose out of nothing much some years before. Even if you pay $1 million for a packet of smarties - they are still worth $2 or so.
