    Sugar farmers would drop this idea quickly if they were forced to use their own ethinol/bio-diesel in their tractors.

    Ethinol from farmed carbohydrates is a net energy losing process. It is if you take the natural gas needed to produce fertiliser anyway. The ethinol industry farms the road tax componet of our petrol prices.
