    The title to this thread is somewhat misleading.
    The, above mentioned, article is referring to High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), not other sugars in general, nor fructose that is naturally occurring in fruit.
    It has been very well known for decades that HFCS is extremely bad for one's health.
    If we go around saying "Fructose is bad for you.", people will start to think that fruit is not good for you, which is simply not the case.

    Thank goodness that Australia has largely not gone down the path of the USA, by not adding HFCS to softdrink, but by still using cane sugar. Though, that is not so good either.

    Best stay away from softdrink altogether. Eat a piece fresh fruit instead.

    An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
