that's a bit simplistic, plenty of people do the right things by their bodies but genetics gets them, not lifestyle choice.

As for the sugar tax, in a perfect world people would be smart enough to regulate their intake, and that of their kids. In the real world sugar consumption has rocketed as have healthcare costs. User pays sounds good to me.
