"To save us from ourselves I say yes to a sugar tax."
We have plenty of tax on grog --------- but, we have most adults drink and we have huge problems with alcohol.
I think a sugar tax might be ok - but, there is no way we will solve the problems we have because we eat it.
To reduce the amount of consumption - we are going to have to do something different.
No idea what.
One look at what it appears to be doing to us though and one knows that consumption of it is a problem ----------- but, walk down any supermarket aisle and read a list of ingredients on several products ------------ and, one can see what sort of a problem we have.
It's a massive problem and, it is at a stage where in a lot of cases - there just isn't choice.
My partner and I used to drink tomato juice - Australian only - and, without sugar ---------------
no can do any more --------- in Coles and Woolies - the only products available have sugar in them.
So - the only choice is -------------- no tomato juice at all - or take the crap.
Personally - I think the food industry here is a National disgrace.
