This is a poll that has been suggested to the Metgasco Board, to counter that idiotic 85% poll the Greens are touting. They have declined to run it.

We must say here that ee have no problems with Mr Peter Henderson. He is doing the best he can in the circumstances. Unfortunately in our opinion, he does not appear to have a Board with spirit and fight to back him up.

We passionately feel that a counter survey needs to be done to refute that nonsensical 85% poll that the Greens did. The Board must engage with the community and must have something to counteract that 85%Poll.

We do hope you all understand where we are coming from. I hope that the Metgasco Board members can lower themselves from the lofty towers of corporate isolation and come down to the real world filled with ordinary people with insecurities and fears due to untruths that they have been repeatedly fed, and realise that the battle will never be fully won unless these fears are assuaged. We need a Hearts and Mind Campaign. Now. Conducted atthe same level as that which the Greens have done. To refute them once and for all.


Here is the poll that was suggested that the Board has done, restricted to rate-payers in Casino. The suggestion was not considered worthy by the Board some months ago.

Q1 Would you support the benefits of coal seam gas if it brought jobs, infrastructure and community wealth to the region? Y/N

Anyone who answers NO would have to show cause why they don't support regional wealth.



Q2. Would you support the benefits of coal seam gas if farmers in the region were to get the benefits of using the clean water produced by the coal seam gas industry, especially as farms are prone to crippling drought? Y/N.

Anyone who votes NO would have to show cause why they do not want farmers to use the water.





Q3. Would you support the benefits of coal seam gas if there is no ABSOLUTE proven medical evidence that coal seam gas causes health problems? Y/N

There is no irrevocably proven medical evidence to show that coal seam gas causes health problems. This puts the onus on the anti-GSGs to provide the evidence of the existence of proven health problems, rather than for us to try and prove that there are no health problem.



Q4 Would you support coal seam gas if there is no conclusive corroborated evidence that extraction of coal seam gas damages aquifers? Y/N

T here is no conclusive scientific evidence to show that extraction of coal seam gas damages aquifers. This puts the onus on the anti-GSGs to provide the evidence of the existence of proven aquifer damage due to CSG extraction, rather than for us to try and prove that there are no aquifer problems associated with CSG.



This poll will put the onus of proof on the other side and they will have to provide proof to object to the polling results.
