No your eligibility to claim doesn't matter if you sold them but it may effect the amount you get. Stupidly I owned SGH in my own name and my wife's name, mine got traded a few times, hers didn't, and she got more than me on a per share basis. I have no idea how they calculate it, it's not done on a blanket x cents per share, think it's pretty complicated and for the amount of money involved I didn't question it, I just took the money and ran.
