I always wonder how many people suicide after seeking help. Our support systems are really terrible.
If someone actually admits to themselves that they have a problem and go to see their Doctor about it, don't give them a checkup- diagnose slightly elevated blood pressure and cholesterol, and then send them on their merry way again with the helpful advice that they need to exersise more. This person then seeks help from various sources with similar outcomes. Result unfortunately = one very dead person.
