Hi AME community. Alto Metals looks really promising and ticks many boxes. However could you please assist with some geological technicals. Any gold nerds here? Is the sandstone project mostly hosted in sulphide rock? Not all gold is made equal and the implication of this is that cyanide leaching is less likely to be effective if we have a refractory gold ore deposit. Pressure oxidation (POX) will be required i assume.

Management have said that prior miners only targeted the oxide gold and didn't go into fresher rock as this would have required other processing methods and plant. Cool, fair enough but what plant is required? POX?

Or is sulphide ore not so bad? For Example, DEG have sulphide ore with an AISC of around $1200/oz and will use POX then CIL. Using BGL as an example, the gold ore is within quartz breccia vains (hosted in sulphides) requiring no POX. BGL AISC is $1000/oz. And yes, AISC is not entirely dependent on processing of course.

Any feedback would be awesome. Gold is not easy.
