As I mentioned in an earlier post new tailings from the East Rand - over 1 bill
tons - soon to be negotiated - are known to contain pyrites (FeS2).

One of the possible by products should be sulphuric acid production.

    4FeS2(pyrites) + 14H2O = 4Fe(OH)3 + 8H2SO4(sulphuric acid)

Sulphuric Acid/reagants needed in the processing - typically cost other uranium companies around Aus $20/lb of Uranium processed.
    That's a major cost component.

MLI might not only save most of the sulphuric acid costs - it may even make money by selling sulphuric acid.

That could be close to a $40/lb turnaround and benefit ! ($20/lb saving + $20/lb profit by selling it - less production costs).

    also..
there's a rising demand for sulphuric acid -and a tight supply - prices are forecast to rise further from the current $100/metric ton to perhaps $150/metric ton in about 2 years.

Perhaps MLI doesnt have to worry about rising sulphuric acid costs - may actually look forward to sulphuric acid spot price rising further.

this could be another string along with gold in MLI's bow.
