This post is very misleading.
The main component of sulphuric acid is not vanadium; it is sulphur (and water). V catalyses SO2 to SO3 and is not consumed in the process of doing so - that's the literal definition of a catalyst.
The Chemicals and Catalysts sector consumes 4% of annual V supply. V as an additive to steel consumes 89%.
V and U sectors are not correlated - at all.
