SUM's Brazil project include niobium, tantalum and clay rare earth.

Tantalum is far better than Niobium. No one in asx is playing Tantalum so far? When people realise it is 3x the value of Niobium, SUM will go crazy

Niobium and tantalum usually occur together but in WA1 carbonatites, the grade of Tantalum is very low. In Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia, high grade niobium and tantalum appear together which is much better than WA1 imo.

WA1’s Managing Director, Paul Savich, commented: “The identification of a high-grade zone of weathered enrichment above the previously assayed mineralised zone at P2 enhances the discovery and provides an additional shallow target for exploration in 2023.“ Of particular interest is the substantial increase in tantalum and Rare Earth Element anomalism within this weathered portion of the drillhole. This suggests potential for both lateral and vertical zonation of mineralisation within the P2 carbonatite system such as that which occurs at world-class carbonatite deposits, for instance Mt Weld. WA1 is hoping for Tantalum and looking for it but can only find low grade, this is their own admission






More than 90% of Australia's tantalum resources occur within four deposits (Toongi, Wodgina, Pilgangoora and Greenbushes). Western Australia holds 88% of Australia's EDR, with the remainder in New South Wales (in the Toongi deposit). Australia had 1.4kt considered subeconomic at the end of 2018, slightly down from 2017 (Table 2). Inferred Resources of tantalum in 2018 (34.9 kt) were slightly up from 2016 (32.9 kt; Table 2).If you look the grades of these deposits, they are very low
