IB Daiwa do have a member on the board. And yes they are involved in two coal minining opoerations in Asia. One is a brown coal (lignite) mine in Mongolia, which then processes this coal into high energy briguettes at an Indonesian processing plant. The other operation is a share in an Indonesian coal mine. The common denominator here is Indonesia.
So it is possible that IB Daiwa may have been the catalyst with the pending Sumatra coal deal.
