Well,it's "Game On" as Canada wants 20% of the global
REE market by 2018. [Canada.com]
Canadian Exploration companies are targeting 'scores' of
RE companies around the world and with the help from the
Fed Govt are making a go at loosening the grip China has
on the industry.
REE have been categorized by the Govt as being critical
to Canada's economy and may become a major producer by
2017/2020.
Any foreign investment in REE is subject to a National
Security Review under the Investment Canada Act to ensure
potential acquisitions don't pose national security risks.

Interesting to note that Canadian Energy Resources drilled
the Browns Range and Boulder Ridge country back in the 1980s
and observed that there were "two" significant xenotime
zones in the region.
Boulder Ridge and Wolverine are a Canadian legacy that will
make big news this year. And a 'national interest' scenario
wouldn't be out of order- with Goldman Sachs stating that
HRE is expected to "remain" in deficit and therefore become
'even more valuable' as the world faces a heavies shortage.
In business there is plan A and plan B.However, there is no
planet B!
Heavy Rare Earths are finite and may become as scarce as
the white metals Platinum and Palladium. Both in deficit
and both have 'unprecedented' off-take by investors.
Tony Abbott could move and make it law to stockpile HRE
as China is doing. After all,if China is going to be an
investment partner as well as a trading partner,it would
be a logical step.
Abbott also believes in Japans maturity and democracy.
And with Canberra's extended invitation to Shinzo Abe
to visit Australia and address the Parliament, sends a
strategic message to China.
The Sumitomo story is only in the first chapter of an
intriguing volume :)
From the man that made it all happen from the beginning,
Kevin Schultz...
"At Northern Minerals one of our greatest challenges is
for the emerging value of our business to be recognized
by the market. In industries such as nickle, copper and gold
it is easy for the market to grasp the significance and
value of new discoveries.
'But the RE story is far less understood;but is an exciting
one yet to be fully told, with the promise of major growth
in an age of rapid advances in society and technology."
And finally 'Jacks' 2014 message- 'the HRE market is the one
to watch and the one in which to invest'.Dudley would agree.
