    that's a useful analogy - kinda surprised it hasn't already been moderated.. when I've used examples before discussing ISX they've been reported quick smart by holders as not relevant..

    non-roadworthy cars can still get from A to B without an incident occurring. however in this instance, the owner of the network (Visa) has decided to not let the car (ISX) on its roads anymore, citing a number of reasons:

    - non-roadworthy vehicle (lack of appropriate AML controls);
    - misunderstanding of when oil, brake pads and tyres need servicing/changing (lack of understanding of it's place in the AML process/market);
    - refusal to bring car in for inspection (uncooperative approach to Visa's compliance reviews)

    unfortunately, the offers to bring the car up to scratch were made too late in the piece, after the defect notice had been placed on the car and it sent to the scrapheap
