"BLUE MURDER" Author: BEN HILLS.
This book tells the story of the mining of blue asbestos at WITTENOOM WA, It was written in 1989, but any remaining copies seem to have become a collectors item, I paid $75.00 for a rather worn copy from a second hand bookshop.
Wittenoom Mine was owned by CSR who supplied some of hardies crocidolite (blue asbestos) I can't find the words to describe how I felt after reading that book.
The common theme running through all these books is that James Hardie knew of the deadly health risks of asbestos, but what they did about it is beyond belief. Start with Matt Peacocks "KILLER COMPANY" It's up to date and only about six months old.
