I'm not a trader but more fundamental ... the place to start learning how to value companies is where Buffet got most of his ideas from IMO, and that is a book written pre WWII, "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham.
That is a classic and a foundation resource on fundamental investing but would recommend the latest addition which has modern references and notes added.
