In 2010, sold 24,000 acres to Chesapeake Energy

Retained 16,000 acres

Farmed out to Halliburton a 25% interest in 11,277 acres as joint venture under HJV.  Halliburton will fund drilling and completing two wells.  Second well optional.

Acquired a 65 square mile 3D seismic survey to aid evaluation of Niobrara and deeper targets.

 

Defender well (37.5% free carried from Halliburton)

-          Testing Niobrara Shale, comleted in the Niobrara B zone

-          Moderate to high risk as is the first of its kind in this region

-          Chesapeake selling out its acrage nearby

Spirit of America US34 #1-29

-          Has drilling difficulties to reaching a total depth of 9040 ft vs proposed 11,000 feet

-          Oil saturated Muddy Formation.  Small frac and test expected in December 2011.

 

Roosevelt Bakken (Roosevelt County, Montana)

Acquired 20,000 net acers with option to acquire an additional 20,000 acres in the Williston Basin

Australia II 12 KA 6 & Gretel II 12 KA 3

-          Targeting Bakken Shale formation

-          Area considered highly prospective.  Strong flow rates from nearby wells
