I will try and shed some light on the naming conventions.

I believe that Na Sanun field has been officially defined as a producing field and as such can be referred to by the NS designation.

Where they are drilling new wells in the lease into an area not defined as a field they use the lease designation eg L43-G

The lease number is defined by the Thai Dept of Mineral Fuel (DMF). For these lease numbers eg L44/43 the breakup is L= onshore, 44 = lease number, 43 is Thai year. For us 2007 = 2050 in Thai. The link is to this years bidding for leases in Thailand and there is some interesting information can be found in the DMF site.

    http://www.dmf.go.th/bid20/area_open_bid.asp

Where the well number is NS8-D1 a suffix generally indicates some form of change to the original well plan. For this one I think what they are doing is using the original site for NS8 that was planned for the Na Sanun field and directionally drilling into the Na Sanun East field, hence D1.

I saw somewhere in a post on CVN about POE on broker recommendations for POE that the cost per well was $800,000. Not sure if this is Canadian or US dollars.

    Cheers

    Jami
