Or should we devolve back to the less expensive governing structures where local volunteers took responsibility for their own backyards, when councils were unincorporated and non salaried, when pre-federation state govts were the nation builders, etc.
If the Google experts are correct and fires are just as bad as 120 years ago why are we wasting our time with water cannon, planes, hazard suits, ...... when a blue wife beater singlet, a tin of Lucky Strike rollie weed, a wet hessian bag and a metal back tank sufficed. Big saving right there.
