While market sentiment is clearly negative, it still amazes me that certain sectors/stocks get caught up in the rot.
Given that a continual flow of good news has led to a share price silde over the last 3-4 months, maybe we should hope for a complete market meltdown with the absurd notion that investor's losing their shirts might lead to a growing incidence of heart related problems. (Yes there is more than a hint of sarcasm here).
On a more serious note though, I would have thought that VCR had some appealling defensive characteristics in this market. With money flowing out of resources and anything relating to the US economy, it would seem a great time to accumulate a stock that has been massively oversold (IMHO)
