My post wasn't to suggest that anyone should buy or sell sun shares. My comments were directed at Danlupi who is one of many alleged ex employees who use this site to vent their anger. Rarely, do they provide informative facts or opinions.
What I can say about Sun is that it has a very large and diverse insurance base which includes many of Australia and NZ's best brands.
The Promina purchase has been a disaster but the insurance arm still has a good future. It has a good weighting of short and long tail risks in a market where rates seem to be hardening and reinsurance capacity seems to be strong.
Clearly, the unknown is the banking exposure but from all I have read it is now attributed pretty much zero value by investors.
The incoming CEO will be under a lot of pressure to be totally open with the market and quickly deliver a strategy.
