We supposedly can’t economically build an onshore gas pipeline to connect the gas rich west into the gas hungry eastern half of the country (population around 20 million).
Yet they could/can economically build a 12,000 hectare solar farm and connect it all the way to Singapore (population around 5 million) via subsea cable through one of the world’s most active earthquake zones.
I’d love to see the numbers on each.
