Interesting articles from GreenLeft ABC. I am sure ABC does not wake up in morning think "what Labor Gov can we attack today?". So I assume reality could be worse than is outlined by ABC. Everybody quoted is singing from one songsheet for the NT to meet Fed Labor's NetZero goals. Alt gas has been sourced from offshore exporters to make up for any possible generation shortfall so there are no blackouts. But Blacktip was exporting surplus gas through the NGP to Mt Isa. And now the Blacktip shortage has caused the NGP to shutdown impacting another gas producer.

The second ABC article is linked off the first part way down. My main take-away is if a tiny population administered by Labor can not manage these issues better - what does it say about Fed Labor's chances of smoothly increasing the percentage of renewables across the NEM while keeping lights on and delivering on Labors much spruiked election promise to cut power bills by $275 a year by 2025.

It also seems obvious that these idle solar farms will be deteriorating. The above problems are with relatively micro solar panel projects.
