HVDC uses a pair massive copper cables. Sun Cable would have an impact on total world demand for copper, which is why this thread is under CYM. It's also why it has "cable" in the name, not farm. The cable is the key.
The cost of copper is rising already, which puts more financial pressure on Sun Cable. It's a good example of marginal cost affecting demand.
Latest news is that Cannon-Brooks has provided a loan to allow more time to salvage the project.
