Those scientists who disagree with the IPCC report, and there are many, claim that the warming causes the rise in CO2, not the reverse. This is because the oceans are a soak for CO2 as they cool and a source of CO2 as they warm up again, and that the CO2 being given off the oceans is much greater than our puny efforts.
Also, because of the vast quantities of water at great depths, it takes centuries for the oceans to react to atmospheric warming. So it seems that the oceans will continue to warm up for a long time yet. Best we learn to live with it.
