LEO Pharma Australia

In 2009 LEO acquired Peplin Operations Pty Ltd a small biotech start-up company that had been working for near on 10 years to develop a naturally occurring chemical entity that can provide positive health outcomes for people who are diagnosed with solar keratoses.

With the assistance of LEO Pharma, this work is now entering a commercial phase with the lodgement of registration dossiers to key regulatory bodies such as FDA, EMA and more recently the TGA in Australia.
 

LEO Pharma has established a manufacturing site on the Gold Coast in Queensland, that will be providing active ingredient to Australia and the rest of the world.

In early 2011 LEO Pharma in Australia regained control of its psoriasis portfolio. Thus on July 1st 2011 LEO Pharma entered the Australian marketplace, providing its own commercial operation all around the country. In addition LEO Pharma is also able to offer full medical support for this portfolio.
 

LEO Pharma has always had a strong reputation with respect to its involvement in clinical studies. LEO Pharma in Australia is a key hub that conducts on-going clinical studies with new chemical entities and new indications for existing products in the range.
