I picked up 100k of sun at 20.20 and have recently picked up another 100k at 18.95 for an average price of 19.58. I see it as underpriced relative to the other insurance players, and also to other diversified financials.
It is true that SUN has been quite unloved for a long time due to the storms, weakening margins (a major industry concern) and concern over the promina integration.
I think the result on aug 27 will be quite make or break in the short term (my sources say it will be good, but they are no more educated that you or me), but longer term it will get going to hopefully catch up a bit on QBE's share price gains.
