Remember, this is coming from the top.
Cameroon has a very old, and very stubborn President.
His judgement is clouded and can no longer remain objective.

It's funny how this has turned out.... when you read past articles, it was Congo that came across as more corrupt and shonky.
Perhaps that could be a factor why they just want to settle ASAP and avoid any deeper investigations that reveals more skullduggery?
