Are you able to elaborate on the difference between hemp derived CBD and Cannabis derived CBD?

I'm not sure if I am mistaken, but I was under the impression they are not the same and that there were clear advantages to Cannabis CBD.

Happy to be proven wrong, but my very amateur assessment was that Hemp based companies might have an advantage in the short term, as the initial regulations are lower and quicker, but so is the efficacy, so many will be superceded/ beaten by proper companies in the short - mid term?
