Today we are at Rocky, in the $75,000 Fitzroy. Listed on Neds this morning at $126, after being $201, we are in a field of 10 I think. Terrific alley, badly off at the weights. Sonic working well, but probably aiming too high, but why not throw the dice on his home track. I can’t suggest you back him, but at those odds, maybe $5 can’t hurt. I doubt he can run top 3, but it’s nice to see him in the race. In the last, the stable have Merlin in, and whilst I’m not involved in him, he’s racing well, must be a decent chance, especially with Brisbane’s leading jockey, Jimmy O up. I took $13 yesterday but deductions will make a mess of that. Tomorrow we go to Ippy, in the last with Teenie. Been freshened, stepping out to 1200, with his next goal being 1400 at Gatton next weekend. His fitness might get him as might the class. Jake B riding won’t hurt, as he is a very good rider. Speaking of Jake, he rides one at Grafton today, Zuri in the in the 1700m maiden. Again, nothing to do with me, other than we gave her two year old half sister, Lily, (Show Me The Stars) , so would be nice to see ZZ break her maiden status. Punt well friends.
